Is Anderson worth it salary-wise?

Curious what people think. I'm a teacher here and Poverty rate is 16.1%, which is higher than I expected. Median household income is $47,221, which feels on the lower side for the area. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. The city has invested a lot in new development. The suburbs are where most families end up. The weather takes some getting used to. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. From a safety perspective, it really depends on the area. Some neighborhoods are hit or miss, others not so much. Do your research on specific streets.
