What I wish I knew before living in Anderson

Alright, Crime rate is something to consider -Anderson sits at 440.8 per 100K. Median household income is $47,221, which feels on the lower side for the area. The weather takes some getting used to. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. Anyone in a similar situation? The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look.

Real talk - this place is not for everyone, and I think that's OK.

If you value traffic, you'll love it. The job market is genuinely pretty good and I've found I genuinely enjoy living here. My neighborhood (Meadowbrook) is pricey and I feel safe walking around at night.

But if you're coming from Pittsburgh, be prepared for the culture shock. housing market is completely different here. And Urban sprawl is real.

My advice would be to visit for at least a week before committing. Rent first, don't buy. And explore multiple neighborhoods - they're all different.
