Anderson job market vs Cleveland

Anyone else feel this way? You can expect to pay around $965 for rent here. Household incomes average around $44,321 in Anderson. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. Am I wrong here? People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. The suburbs are where most families end up. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. Property taxes are high but you get good services.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 13 years ago from Salt Lake City and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: It's gotten pricier but still beats the coasts. We're paying /mo for a 4-bed in Maple Ridge. It's excellent for what you get.

Jobs: The market is stable right now, especially in consulting. If you're in hospitality you might struggle.

People: Generally hit or miss. It took about 12 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: pretty good. Tons of options if you like Indian.

Give it a chance - it might surprise you..
