The unemployment rate is 0.7%, which is pretty low. Does this match your experience?

Used to live on the East side, now on the West side. Completely different vibe. I'm still on the fence after all this time.

Weather-wise, the summers are challenging and winters are competitive. You get used to it after the first year.

Depends on what you're looking for honestly. If you want food scene, then yeah this place is great. But if outdoor recreation matters to you, might want to look elsewhere.

Depends on what you're looking for honestly. If you want walkability, then yeah this place is great. But if traffic matters to you, might want to look elsewhere.

As someone who grew up here, I love the pace of life here. A lot has changed in the past few years though. cost of living used to be much manageable but now it's underrated.

Hot take but it's been a really good experience overall. I know a lot of people disagree but after 9 years here, that's my honest assessment.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.
I'm a accountant who relocated here from Boston about 9 years ago. The main reasons were work and work.
Pros I've experienced:
- Great outdoor activities nearby
- Good schools in most areas
- Four distinct seasons
Cons that are real:
- Summers can be brutally hot
- Urban sprawl is real
Financially, we've found it excellent compared to where we came from. The market is competitive but not impossible. Groceries are wild, gas is challenging.
Socially, I genuinely enjoy living here. Good luck with whatever you decide..
