How is Andover for outdoor activities?

First post here. Rent is about $1,827/month for a decent place. Median household income is $131,528, which feels pretty solid for the area. The weather takes some getting used to. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. What would you do?

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a writer who relocated here from Pittsburgh about 9 years ago. The main reasons were weather and quality of life.

Pros I've experienced:
- Friendly community, easy to meet people
- Strong sense of community
- Lots of family-friendly activities

Cons that are real:
- Summers can be brutally hot
- Property taxes are high

Financially, we've found it solid compared to where we came from. Lots of new construction which should help. Groceries are affordable, gas is excellent.

Socially, I'm still on the fence after all this time. Definitely worth checking out..
