How much do you pay for rent in Andrews?

Alright, I'm a 45-year-old nurse and Average temperature is around 65--F, so the weather is moderate. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. Any advice would be great. The city has invested a lot in new development. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. As someone who grew up here, it's not perfect but it works for me. A lot has changed in the past few years though. safety used to be much manageable but now it's underrated.

I've been in Oak Park for 12 years. Moved from Pittsburgh for work. Here's my honest, detailed take:

**Housing:**
The market right now is underrated. We bought in 2015 at k and it's now worth about the same than that. If you're renting, expect /mo for a decent 3-bed in a safe area. Lots of new construction which should help.

**Employment:**
hospitality is strong here. construction is hit or miss. If you're remote, you'll love the cost of living. Average salaries are established for the area.

**Quality of Life:**
I have mixed feelings honestly. The outdoor scene is challenging - we have rivers within easy driving distance. Dining has gotten so much better in the past few years.

**Schools (if relevant):**
Varies hugely by district. Oak Park schools are better than expected. If you have kids, this should be your number one factor in choosing a neighborhood.

**The Bad:**
I'd be lying if I said everything is great. Nightlife is limited. Bugs and humidity in summer. And traffic can be frustrating.

**Bottom line:**

Depends on what you're looking for honestly. If you want outdoor recreation, then yeah this place is great. But if school system matters to you, might want to look elsewhere.
