How much do you pay for rent in Andrews?

With a population of 13,416, Andrews is a small town. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. What are your go-to spots?

Public transit is better than expected here. You'll probably need a car for most things. the quality of life is solid.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem underrated.

I've been here 7 years and it's improved dramatically in recent years. The thing nobody mentions is outdoor recreation. It's pricey and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the housing market is legit. And if you're into fishing, this place is hit or miss.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Maple Ridge side vs the Cedar Grove side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

No regrets on my end..

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a accountant who relocated here from Pittsburgh about 14 years ago. The main reasons were a fresh start and family.

Pros I've experienced:
- Growing food and restaurant scene
- Strong job market in several industries
- Active local events and festivals

Cons that are real:
- Traffic during rush hour is rough
- Property taxes are high

Financially, we've found it underrated compared to where we came from. Older homes are where the value is. Groceries are established, gas is solid.

Socially, I'm still on the fence after all this time. Would recommend to anyone considering it..

I've lived in Lakewood for about 9 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

it's exactly what I was looking for. When I first moved here from Austin, I was surprised by weather. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Good internet infrastructure
- Active local events and festivals
- The pet-friendliness scene is tough

The downsides:
- Limited shopping options
- Bugs and humidity in summer

Overall I'd rate it 9/10 for retirees. No regrets on my end..

Alright, I'll give you the full rundown since I see a lot of surface-level answers here.

I've been in Riverside for 9 years. Moved from Portland for quality of life. Here's my honest, detailed take:

**Housing:**
The market right now is excellent. We bought in 2023 at k and it's now worth up significantly than that. If you're renting, expect /mo for a decent 1-bed in a safe area. Lots of new construction which should help.

**Employment:**
education is strong here. education is hit or miss. If you're remote, you'll love the cost of living. Average salaries are stable for the area.

**Quality of Life:**
it was the best decision I ever made. The outdoor scene is surprisingly good - we have desert landscapes within easy driving distance. Dining has gotten so much better in the past few years.

**Schools (if relevant):**
Varies hugely by district. Riverside schools are surprisingly good. If you have kids, this should be your number one factor in choosing a neighborhood.

**The Bad:**
I'd be lying if I said everything is great. Winters are long and cold. Not a lot of cultural diversity. And community vibe can be frustrating.

**Bottom line:**
For young professionals, I'd say this is a 6/10. Good luck with whatever you decide.. Feel free to ask specific questions - happy to help.

Not gonna lie, the first year was rough. But once you find your neighborhood and your people, I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. It's not for everyone but it works for us..

I'd say the biggest thing people don't talk about is outdoor recreation. it was the best decision I ever made. Worth doing your research before committing.
