Hello, I'm originally from New York and Median household income is $83,981, which feels pretty solid for the area. Household incomes average around $83,981 in Angleton. Rent is about $1,072/month for a decent place. It's a a small town city with about 19,597 people. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. Has anyone dealt with this? The city has invested a lot in new development. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse.

I've lived in Meadowbrook for about 2 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.
I'm still on the fence after all this time. When I first moved here from Chicago, I was surprised by pet-friendliness. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.
A few things worth knowing:
- Decent public transit for the size
- Good internet infrastructure
- The outdoor recreation scene is pretty good
The downsides:
- Limited high-paying job options
- Road conditions need improvement
Overall I'd rate it 7/10 for remote workers. Give it a chance - it might surprise you..

Bought a house here in 2016 and it was the best decision I ever made. Property values have gone down slightly since then.

I'd say the biggest thing people don't talk about is traffic. it's exactly what I was looking for. Worth doing your research before committing.
