Dog-friendly places in Angleton?

Hi all, Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that.

Bought a house here in 2023 and I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. Property values have gone down slightly since then.

Moved here from Boston about 10 years ago. there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. Still getting used to job market but Good luck with whatever you decide..

Came here for family and stayed because there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. The food scene is honestly decent and I don't see that changing anytime soon.

I've been living here for 9 years and I'd say I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. The safety is hit or miss compared to other places I've lived. Overall Hope this helps!.

Hot take but I love the pace of life here. I know a lot of people disagree but after 15 years here, that's my honest assessment.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a nurse who relocated here from Portland about 1 years ago. The main reasons were a fresh start and work.

Pros I've experienced:
- Strong job market in several industries
- Lots of new development happening
- Diverse dining options

Cons that are real:
- Limited high-paying job options
- Bugs and humidity in summer

Financially, we've found it tough compared to where we came from. The market is competitive but not impossible. Groceries are affordable, gas is decent.

Socially, it's exactly what I was looking for. Happy to answer more specific questions..

If you're remote, this place is great for cost of living. I'm still on the fence after all this time. Internet is tough in most areas.

Real talk - this place is not for everyone, and I think that's OK.

If you value weather, you'll love it. The job market is genuinely improving and I've found it's exactly what I was looking for. My neighborhood (Pine Hills) is stable and I feel safe walking around at night.

But if you're coming from Boston, be prepared for the culture shock. food scene is completely different here. And Road conditions need improvement.

My advice would be to visit for at least a week before committing. Rent first, don't buy. And explore multiple neighborhoods - they're all different.
