Best apartments in Angola under ?

Anyone else feel this way? Been living here since 2013. With a population of 9,383, Angola is a small town. The unemployment rate is 4.2%, which is about average. The median home value here is around $186,900, which is actually reasonable. The suburbs are where most families end up. Property taxes are high but you get good services. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood.

Pros:
- Affordable cost of living
- Good job market
- Close to nature
- Low taxes

Cons:
- Limited public transit
- Hot summers
- Not very walkable
- Lack of diversity
Has anyone dealt with this? People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. The city has invested a lot in new development. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. The weather takes some getting used to. Property taxes are high but you get good services. Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem improving.

I've been here 1 years and it exceeded my expectations. The thing nobody mentions is traffic. It's manageable and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the walkability is legit. And if you're into skiing, this place is improving.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The South side vs the Sunset side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

Hope this helps!.

Not gonna lie, the first year was rough. But once you find your neighborhood and your people, I genuinely enjoy living here. No regrets on my end..

Alright, I'll give you the full rundown since I see a lot of surface-level answers here.

I've been in Meadowbrook for 6 years. Moved from Boston for a fresh start. Here's my honest, detailed take:

**Housing:**
The market right now is tough. We bought in 2020 at k and it's now worth up significantly than that. If you're renting, expect /mo for a decent 4-bed in a safe area. If you look outside the main areas you can find deals.

**Employment:**
marketing is strong here. hospitality is hit or miss. If you're remote, you'll love the cost of living. Average salaries are affordable for the area.

**Quality of Life:**
the quality of life is solid. The outdoor scene is hit or miss - we have beaches within easy driving distance. Dining has gotten so much better in the past few years.

**Schools (if relevant):**
Varies hugely by district. Meadowbrook schools are better than expected. If you have kids, this should be your number one factor in choosing a neighborhood.

**The Bad:**
I'd be lying if I said everything is great. Road conditions need improvement. Limited shopping options. And cultural scene can be frustrating.

**Bottom line:**
For couples, I'd say this is a 6/10. Would recommend to anyone considering it.. Feel free to ask specific questions - happy to help.

I've been here 9 years and it's been a really good experience overall. The thing nobody mentions is job market. It's reasonable and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the cost of living is legit. And if you're into golfing, this place is underrated.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Cedar Grove side vs the Highland side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

Happy to answer more specific questions..
