Hey, Homes are going for about $311,300 on average. The median home value here is around $311,300, which seems about average. The unemployment rate is 1.7%, which is pretty low. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. Thanks for reading. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. The food scene here is surprisingly good. Property taxes are high but you get good services.

As someone who grew up here, I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. A lot has changed in the past few years though. cost of living used to be much affordable but now it's improving.

Bought a house here in 2018 and I have mixed feelings honestly. Property values have gone up a bit since then.

I work in government here and there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. The job market for my field is improving. Give it a chance - it might surprise you..

We moved here with our family and it exceeded my expectations. Schools in The Heights area are decent. Kids love it here.

I'd say the biggest thing people don't talk about is public transit. it's not perfect but it works for me. Worth doing your research before committing.

My experience has been mostly positive. I'm still on the fence after all this time. The only thing I'd watch out for is safety. Other than that, Definitely worth checking out..

I've been living here for 4 years and I'd say there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. The safety is challenging compared to other places I've lived. Overall No regrets on my end..

Real talk - this place is not for everyone, and I think that's OK.
If you value safety, you'll love it. The job market is genuinely pretty good and I've found there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. My neighborhood (Downtown) is growing and I feel safe walking around at night.
But if you're coming from Dallas, be prepared for the culture shock. public transit is completely different here. And Limited public transit options.
My advice would be to visit for at least a week before committing. Rent first, don't buy. And explore multiple neighborhoods - they're all different.

Renting here right now, paying about /mo for a 3-bedroom. there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. Compared to Miami it's pretty good.

Weather-wise, the summers are excellent and winters are wild. You get used to it after the first year.
