We're a young couple and Household incomes average around $36,238 in Anna. Rent is about $607/month for a decent place. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. TIA! The suburbs are where most families end up.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.
I'm a pharmacist who relocated here from Boston about 13 years ago. The main reasons were my partner's job and weather.
Pros I've experienced:
- Good healthcare facilities
- Four distinct seasons
- Strong sense of community
Cons that are real:
- Not very walkable outside downtown
- Homeless population growing downtown
Financially, we've found it hit or miss compared to where we came from. The market is competitive but not impossible. Groceries are developing, gas is better than expected.
Socially, it exceeded my expectations. Give it a chance - it might surprise you..

If you're remote, this place is great for cost of living. the quality of life is solid. Internet is better than expected in most areas.

My experience has been mostly positive. I have mixed feelings honestly. The only thing I'd watch out for is pet-friendliness. Other than that, No regrets on my end..

Public transit is improving here. You'll probably need a car for most things. it exceeded my expectations.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem underrated.
I've been here 6 years and I have mixed feelings honestly. The thing nobody mentions is housing market. It's established and it affects daily life more than you'd think.
That said, the weather is legit. And if you're into biking, this place is underrated.
Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Lakewood side vs the Pine Hills side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.
It's not for everyone but it works for us..

Depends on what you're looking for honestly. If you want cultural scene, then yeah this place is great. But if housing market matters to you, might want to look elsewhere.
