I'm retired and Crime rate is something to consider -Annandale sits at 130.5 per 100K. Average temperature is around 54--F, so expect cold winters. The unemployment rate is 2.8%, which is pretty low. It's a a smaller city city with about 41,982 people. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. The weather takes some getting used to. Would love some local perspective. The weather takes some getting used to. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. The suburbs are where most families end up.
