Anoka quality of life -am I missing something?

Hello, Just moved here 8 months ago and Median household income is $75,262, which feels about average for the area. It's a a small town city with about 17,941 people. With a population of 17,941, Anoka is a small town. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. Anyone in a similar situation? Property taxes are high but you get good services. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. The weather takes some getting used to. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. The food scene here is surprisingly good. The suburbs are where most families end up. The suburbs are where most families end up. The weather takes some getting used to.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem improving.

I've been here 5 years and I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. The thing nobody mentions is nightlife. It's stable and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the dating scene is legit. And if you're into surfing, this place is improving.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Sunset side vs the Meadowbrook side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

No regrets on my end..
