Best hidden gems in Antelope

Been meaning to ask this. Rent is about $2,063/month for a decent place. Crime rate is something to consider -Antelope sits at 149.6 per 100K. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. Let me know your thoughts. Any help is appreciated.

Real talk - this place is not for everyone, and I think that's OK.

If you value school system, you'll love it. The job market is genuinely hit or miss and I've found it's improved dramatically in recent years. My neighborhood (Meadowbrook) is developing and I feel safe walking around at night.

But if you're coming from Raleigh, be prepared for the culture shock. job market is completely different here. And Homeless population growing downtown.

My advice would be to visit for at least a week before committing. Rent first, don't buy. And explore multiple neighborhoods - they're all different.

I'm a marketing manager and I've found it's been a really good experience overall. The community is average and there's always something going on.

If you value nightlife, you'll love it. The outdoor recreation is genuinely decent and I've found I love the pace of life here. My neighborhood (North) is affordable and I feel safe walking around at night.

But if you're coming from Portland, be prepared for the culture shock. outdoor recreation is completely different here. And Traffic during rush hour is rough.

My advice would be to visit for at least a week before committing. Rent first, don't buy. And explore multiple neighborhoods - they're all different.

Bought a house here in 2023 and it's been a really good experience overall. Property values have gone about the same since then.

Public transit is underrated here. You'll probably need a car for most things. I love the pace of life here.
