OK so Military spouse here. Household incomes average around $95,102 in Antelope. Crime rate is something to consider -Antelope sits at 149.6 per 100K. The suburbs are where most families end up. Property taxes are high but you get good services. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. Let me know your thoughts. Cheers. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. The food scene here is surprisingly good. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Property taxes are high but you get good services. Used to live on the Riverside side, now on the Midtown side. Completely different vibe. it's been a really good experience overall.

Moved here from Baltimore about 1 years ago. it's exactly what I was looking for. Still getting used to pet-friendliness but No regrets on my end..

Came here for work and stayed because there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. The weather is honestly tough and I don't see that changing anytime soon.

I've been living here for 12 years and I'd say the quality of life is solid. The outdoor recreation is surprisingly good compared to other places I've lived. Overall Hope this helps!.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.
I'm a project manager who relocated here from Tampa about 9 years ago. The main reasons were retirement and weather.
Pros I've experienced:
- Growing food and restaurant scene
- Decent public transit for the size
- Strong job market in several industries
Cons that are real:
- Chain restaurants dominate
- Limited entertainment options
Financially, we've found it excellent compared to where we came from. Buying is tough right now, renting is more reasonable. Groceries are pricey, gas is tough.
Socially, it was the best decision I ever made. Happy to answer more specific questions..
