First time home buyer in Antioch

Hey, I'm a teacher here and You can expect to pay around $2,241 for rent here. Crime rate is something to consider -Antioch sits at 575.3 per 100K. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. What neighborhoods would you suggest? The weather takes some getting used to.

Moved here from New York about 4 years ago. I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. Still getting used to public transit but Your mileage may vary depending on what you're looking for..
