Anyone else feel this way? I relocated for work and With a population of 14,751, Antioch is a small town. The median home value here is around $299,700, which seems about average. You can expect to pay around $1,118 for rent here. Homes are going for about $299,700 on average. The food scene here is surprisingly good. The city has invested a lot in new development. Property taxes are high but you get good services. What are your go-to spots? Night life is decent if you know the right spots. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. Property taxes are high but you get good services. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look.

Hot take but it exceeded my expectations. I know a lot of people disagree but after 7 years here, that's my honest assessment.

As someone who grew up here, it was the best decision I ever made. A lot has changed in the past few years though. school system used to be much manageable but now it's pretty good.

Public transit is pretty good here. You'll probably need a car for most things. I'm still on the fence after all this time.

Renting here right now, paying about /mo for a 4-bedroom. I'm still on the fence after all this time. Compared to Chicago it's solid.
