Hi all, Crime rate is something to consider -Antioch sits at 119.5 per 100K. The city has invested a lot in new development. Let me know your thoughts. Any help is appreciated. The food scene here is surprisingly good. The city has invested a lot in new development. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. From a safety perspective, it really depends on the area. Some neighborhoods are surprisingly good, others not so much. Do your research on specific streets.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 9 years ago from Pittsburgh and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: Older homes are where the value is. We're paying /mo for a 4-bed in Highland. It's better than expected for what you get.

Jobs: The market is developing right now, especially in consulting. If you're in hospitality you might struggle.

People: Generally pretty good. It took about 11 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: surprisingly good. Tons of options if you like craft beer.

Hope this helps!.
