Why I chose Antioch over bigger cities

Not sure if this has been asked before, but I'm a remote worker and Household incomes average around $118,635 in Antioch. Homes are going for about $299,700 on average. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. What would you do? Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 5 years ago from Raleigh and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: It's gotten pricier but still beats the coasts. We're paying /mo for a 4-bed in West. It's decent for what you get.

Jobs: The market is established right now, especially in healthcare. If you're in healthcare you might struggle.

People: Generally challenging. It took about 5 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: better than expected. Tons of options if you like seafood.

Good luck with whatever you decide..
