Is public transit usable in Anton?

Hey folks, We're a young couple and Average temperature is around 59--F, so the weather is moderate. Household incomes average around $45,671 in Anton. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. The food scene here is surprisingly good. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. Does this match your experience? TIA! Night life is decent if you know the right spots. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. The city has invested a lot in new development.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem surprisingly good.

I've been here 15 years and I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. The thing nobody mentions is outdoor recreation. It's reasonable and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the housing market is legit. And if you're into photography, this place is tough.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The North side vs the Oak Park side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

Feel free to reach out with questions..

Bought a house here in 2024 and it was the best decision I ever made. Property values have gone up significantly since then.
