Moving to Apex for work -advice?

OK so I'm single, late 50s, and With a population of 67,765, Apex is a smaller city. Homes are going for about $514,800 on average. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Let me know your thoughts.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 15 years ago from Charlotte and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: Lots of new construction which should help. We're paying /mo for a 4-bed in Fairview. It's better than expected for what you get.

Jobs: The market is wild right now, especially in retail. If you're in government you might struggle.

People: Generally challenging. It took about 18 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: surprisingly good. Tons of options if you like Indian.

No regrets on my end..
