Rent vs buy in Apex -what makes sense?

OK so I'm single, late 30s, and It's a a smaller city city with about 67,765 people. With a population of 67,765, Apex is a smaller city. Average temperature is around 60--F, so the weather is moderate. Property taxes are high but you get good services. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. What do you all think? Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. I'd say it's better for families than young singles.

We moved here with our family and it was the best decision I ever made. Schools in Lakewood area are improving. Kids love it here.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem better than expected.

I've been here 5 years and it exceeded my expectations. The thing nobody mentions is cultural scene. It's developing and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the dating scene is legit. And if you're into kayaking, this place is underrated.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Pine Hills side vs the Lakewood side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

Would recommend to anyone considering it..
