Hello, The unemployment rate is 0.2%, which is pretty low. The median home value here is around $397,800, which seems about average. Household incomes average around $104,741 in Apison. Homes are going for about $397,800 on average. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. Worth the trade-offs? People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. The weather takes some getting used to. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. The city has invested a lot in new development. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. The suburbs are where most families end up. The city has invested a lot in new development.

I've been living here for 13 years and I'd say it's not perfect but it works for me. The housing market is decent compared to other places I've lived. Overall Give it a chance - it might surprise you..

Came here for family and stayed because I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. The weather is honestly improving and I don't see that changing anytime soon.

Real talk - this place is not for everyone, and I think that's OK.
If you value walkability, you'll love it. The outdoor recreation is genuinely improving and I've found it's been a really good experience overall. My neighborhood (Springfield) is affordable and I feel safe walking around at night.
But if you're coming from Boston, be prepared for the culture shock. public transit is completely different here. And Nightlife is limited.
My advice would be to visit for at least a week before committing. Rent first, don't buy. And explore multiple neighborhoods - they're all different.

If you value school system, you'll love it. The walkability is genuinely average and I've found there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. My neighborhood (Midtown) is affordable and I feel safe walking around at night.
But if you're coming from Phoenix, be prepared for the culture shock. food scene is completely different here. And Road conditions need improvement.

We moved here with our family and it was the best decision I ever made. Schools in Westside area are improving. Kids love it here.
