Best kept secrets of Apollo Beach, FL

Hi all, I'm a 39-year-old pharmacist and The unemployment rate is 2.7%, which is pretty low. Rent is about $2,087/month for a decent place. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. The city has invested a lot in new development. What do you all think? Appreciate any input. The food scene here is surprisingly good. The weather takes some getting used to. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a accountant who relocated here from Denver about 15 years ago. The main reasons were a fresh start and school.

Pros I've experienced:
- Good healthcare facilities
- Good internet infrastructure
- Diverse dining options

Cons that are real:
- Winters are long and cold
- Dating scene is rough

Financially, we've found it decent compared to where we came from. Lots of new construction which should help. Groceries are manageable, gas is tough.

Socially, I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. Good luck with whatever you decide..

Weather-wise, the summers are improving and winters are wild. You get used to it after the first year.

Bought a house here in 2021 and the quality of life is solid. Property values have gone up a bit since then.
