Commute times in Apollo Beach -how bad?

Just moved here 18 months ago and Median household income is $113,130, which feels pretty solid for the area. Crime rate is something to consider -Apollo Beach sits at 582.4 per 100K. It's a a smaller city city with about 28,347 people. Poverty rate is 4.8%, which is pretty low. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. Does this match your experience? Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. The weather takes some getting used to. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 14 years ago from San Diego and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: Older homes are where the value is. We're paying /mo for a 1-bed in North. It's excellent for what you get.

Jobs: The market is competitive right now, especially in tech. If you're in manufacturing you might struggle.

People: Generally challenging. It took about 11 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: decent. Tons of options if you like seafood.

Definitely worth checking out..

My experience has been mostly positive. it was the best decision I ever made. The only thing I'd watch out for is safety. Other than that, Give it a chance - it might surprise you..
