Moving from Dallas to Apollo Beach next month

Hey, Military spouse here. You can expect to pay around $2,087 for rent here. It's a a smaller city city with about 28,347 people. The median home value here is around $420,200, which is pretty steep. Homes are going for about $420,200 on average. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. The suburbs are where most families end up. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Does this match your experience? The food scene here is surprisingly good. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. The city has invested a lot in new development. The food scene here is better than expected. Tons of great Indian places. I genuinely enjoy living here.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a nurse who relocated here from Houston about 3 years ago. The main reasons were a job opportunity and my partner's job.

Pros I've experienced:
- Growing food and restaurant scene
- Good healthcare facilities
- Lots of family-friendly activities

Cons that are real:
- Nightlife is limited
- Urban sprawl is real

Financially, we've found it underrated compared to where we came from. It's gotten pricier but still beats the coasts. Groceries are competitive, gas is surprisingly good.

Socially, I love the pace of life here. It's not for everyone but it works for us..

I've lived in Eastside for about 15 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

it was the best decision I ever made. When I first moved here from Austin, I was surprised by cost of living. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Friendly community, easy to meet people
- Good healthcare facilities
- The dating scene scene is better than expected

The downsides:
- Summers can be brutally hot
- Rising rent and home prices

Overall I'd rate it 8/10 for remote workers. Hope this helps!.
