Housing market in Apopka right now

OK so Been living here since 2014. Average temperature is around 71--F, so it's warm year-round. It's a a smaller city city with about 56,202 people. Homes are going for about $364,300 on average. Household incomes average around $95,703 in Apopka. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much.

Pros:
- Growing food scene
- Low crime in most areas
- Plenty of shopping options
- Active local events

Cons:
- Not very walkable
- Few job opportunities in some fields
- Boring for young people
- Mosquitoes and humidity
- Homelessness issues downtown
Has anyone dealt with this? It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. The weather takes some getting used to. The suburbs are where most families end up. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem solid.

I've been here 9 years and I love the pace of life here. The thing nobody mentions is safety. It's developing and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the school system is legit. And if you're into photography, this place is pretty good.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Maple Ridge side vs the Springfield side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

Good luck with whatever you decide..
