Dog-friendly places in Apple Valley?

Been meaning to ask this. I grew up here but left for a while. Household incomes average around $99,277 in Apple Valley. The weather takes some getting used to. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. Does this match your experience?

Bought a house here in 2015 and it was the best decision I ever made. Property values have gone up a bit since then.

Real talk - this place is not for everyone, and I think that's OK.

If you value outdoor recreation, you'll love it. The school system is genuinely pretty good and I've found I have mixed feelings honestly. My neighborhood (South) is affordable and I feel safe walking around at night.

But if you're coming from Boston, be prepared for the culture shock. dating scene is completely different here. And Not very walkable outside downtown.

My advice would be to visit for at least a week before committing. Rent first, don't buy. And explore multiple neighborhoods - they're all different.

As someone who grew up here, it's improved dramatically in recent years. A lot has changed in the past few years though. safety used to be much competitive but now it's underrated.

I've been living here for 13 years and I'd say there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. The safety is challenging compared to other places I've lived. Overall Would recommend to anyone considering it..

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a chef who relocated here from Raleigh about 14 years ago. The main reasons were school and a job opportunity.

Pros I've experienced:
- Active local events and festivals
- Four distinct seasons
- Lots of family-friendly activities

Cons that are real:
- Rising rent and home prices
- Nightlife is limited

Financially, we've found it tough compared to where we came from. If you look outside the main areas you can find deals. Groceries are pricey, gas is tough.

Socially, I genuinely enjoy living here. Definitely worth checking out..
