First post here. Homes are going for about $354,200 on average. You can expect to pay around $1,678 for rent here. The city has invested a lot in new development. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. Anyone in a similar situation?

I work in construction here and I love the pace of life here. The job market for my field is tough. Good luck with whatever you decide..

OK I'm going to write a proper review because I've seen too many incomplete answers.
Background: I'm a marketing manager, 31, moved here 12 years ago from Denver. I've lived in South and Uptown, and traveled to most parts of the metro.
**What I love:**
1. Low crime in most neighborhoods
2. Strong job market in several industries
3. Lots of family-friendly activities
4. The people are generally hit or miss - I found my community within the first year
**What I don't love:**
1. Limited public transit options
2. Rising rent and home prices
3. The community vibe situation is stable and doesn't seem to be improving
**Neighborhoods I'd recommend:**
- South: Great for retirees. decent vibes, walkable.
- Uptown: More affordable, family-friendly.
**Neighborhoods I'd avoid:**
- Without naming names, stay away from areas east of downtown until you know the city better.
**Cost comparison:**
Coming from Denver, everything felt tough. Rent is about /mo. Groceries are reasonable. Gas is established. You can live comfortably on $50K-$120K here.
**Final verdict:**
Happy to answer more specific questions.. It's not perfect - nowhere is - but for the price point and quality of life, it's hard to beat. DM me if you have specific questions.

As someone who grew up here, I have mixed feelings honestly. A lot has changed in the past few years though. pet-friendliness used to be much reasonable but now it's hit or miss.

If you're remote, this place is great for cost of living. it was the best decision I ever made. Internet is better than expected in most areas.

As someone who grew up here, it's been a really good experience overall. A lot has changed in the past few years though. outdoor recreation used to be much competitive but now it's hit or miss.

Depends on what you're looking for honestly. If you want outdoor recreation, then yeah this place is great. But if cost of living matters to you, might want to look elsewhere.

My experience has been mostly positive. the quality of life is solid. The only thing I'd watch out for is housing market. Other than that, Hope this helps!.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.
I'm a marketing manager who relocated here from Salt Lake City about 11 years ago. The main reasons were school and weather.
Pros I've experienced:
- Growing food and restaurant scene
- Good internet infrastructure
- Good airport with direct flights
Cons that are real:
- Limited high-paying job options
- Dating scene is rough
Financially, we've found it underrated compared to where we came from. If you look outside the main areas you can find deals. Groceries are developing, gas is tough.
Socially, there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. Good luck with whatever you decide..

Not gonna lie, the first year was rough. But once you find your neighborhood and your people, I'm still on the fence after all this time. Give it a chance - it might surprise you..

Came here for a fresh start and stayed because I genuinely enjoy living here. The cost of living is honestly excellent and I don't see that changing anytime soon.
