Commute times in Appleton -how bad?

Hello, Rent is about $957/month for a decent place. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly.

From a safety perspective, it really depends on the area. Some neighborhoods are challenging, others not so much. Do your research on specific streets.

I've lived in North for about 9 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

it exceeded my expectations. When I first moved here from New York, I was surprised by outdoor recreation. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Lots of new development happening
- Close to major attractions
- The healthcare scene is better than expected

The downsides:
- Rising rent and home prices
- Not a lot of cultural diversity

Overall I'd rate it 7/10 for singles. No regrets on my end..
