Not sure if this has been asked before, but Poverty rate is 16.8%, which is higher than I expected. Median household income is $67,188, which feels about average for the area. The unemployment rate is 10.8%, which is concerning. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. What would you do? Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. The food scene here is surprisingly good. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. The suburbs are where most families end up. The food scene here is surprisingly good. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. The city has invested a lot in new development. Property taxes are high but you get good services.

Renting here right now, paying about /mo for a 2-bedroom. it's exactly what I was looking for. Compared to Atlanta it's underrated.

Public transit is challenging here. You'll probably need a car for most things. it's been a really good experience overall.

I've been living here for 4 years and I'd say it's not perfect but it works for me. The nightlife is average compared to other places I've lived. Overall Your mileage may vary depending on what you're looking for..

My experience has been mostly positive. I'm still on the fence after all this time. The only thing I'd watch out for is traffic. Other than that, Definitely worth checking out..

I've lived in Riverside for about 4 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.
the quality of life is solid. When I first moved here from Charlotte, I was surprised by outdoor recreation. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.
A few things worth knowing:
- Cost of living is very reasonable
- Good schools in most areas
- The food scene scene is solid
The downsides:
- Traffic during rush hour is rough
- Nightlife is limited
Overall I'd rate it 6/10 for young professionals. Give it a chance - it might surprise you..
