Best kept secrets of Arbuckle, CA

First post here. We're a young couple and The median home value here is around $388,600, which seems about average. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. Should I be concerned?

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a physical therapist who relocated here from San Diego about 6 years ago. The main reasons were cost of living and my partner's job.

Pros I've experienced:
- Decent public transit for the size
- Lots of new development happening
- Strong sense of community

Cons that are real:
- Traffic during rush hour is rough
- Far from beaches/mountains

Financially, we've found it solid compared to where we came from. It's gotten pricier but still beats the coasts. Groceries are reasonable, gas is better than expected.

Socially, I love the pace of life here. Hope this helps!.
