Is Arcadia still affordable?

Not sure if this has been asked before, but Born and raised here. The median home value here is around $1,336,500, which is pretty steep. You can expect to pay around $2,118 for rent here. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. Would love some local perspective. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. The city has invested a lot in new development. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. The city has invested a lot in new development.

I've lived in Westside for about 8 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

it exceeded my expectations. When I first moved here from Tampa, I was surprised by weather. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Lots of new development happening
- Affordable housing options
- The dating scene scene is pretty good

The downsides:
- Nightlife is limited
- Property taxes are high

Overall I'd rate it 5/10 for families. Hope this helps!.
