Rent is about $2,118/month for a decent place. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly.

I've been living here for 1 years and I'd say it was the best decision I ever made. The dating scene is better than expected compared to other places I've lived. Overall No regrets on my end..

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.
I'm a marketing manager who relocated here from San Diego about 15 years ago. The main reasons were quality of life and work.
Pros I've experienced:
- Cost of living is very reasonable
- Good schools in most areas
- Decent public transit for the size
Cons that are real:
- Limited shopping options
- Far from beaches/mountains
Financially, we've found it pretty good compared to where we came from. Older homes are where the value is. Groceries are reasonable, gas is better than expected.
Socially, there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. Would recommend to anyone considering it..
