Why I chose Arden-Arcade over bigger cities

I'm a nurse at the local hospital and Crime rate is something to consider -Arden-Arcade sits at 614.8 per 100K. I'd say it's better for families than young singles.

Used to live on the East side, now on the Old Town side. Completely different vibe. I genuinely enjoy living here.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a contractor who relocated here from Pittsburgh about 8 years ago. The main reasons were a job opportunity and work.

Pros I've experienced:
- Nice parks and green spaces
- Good healthcare facilities
- Affordable housing options

Cons that are real:
- Chain restaurants dominate
- Far from beaches/mountains

Financially, we've found it underrated compared to where we came from. It's gotten pricier but still beats the coasts. Groceries are reasonable, gas is pretty good.

Socially, I genuinely enjoy living here. Give it a chance - it might surprise you..

I'm a marketing manager and I've found it's been a really good experience overall. The community is average and there's always something going on.

Renting here right now, paying about /mo for a 3-bedroom. the quality of life is solid. Compared to LA it's improving.

I've been living here for 5 years and I'd say it's improved dramatically in recent years. The dating scene is decent compared to other places I've lived. Overall Feel free to reach out with questions..

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a chef who relocated here from Charlotte about 4 years ago. The main reasons were a fresh start and weather.

Pros I've experienced:
- Decent public transit for the size
- Close to major attractions
- Lots of family-friendly activities

Cons that are real:
- Nightlife is limited
- Limited entertainment options

Financially, we've found it challenging compared to where we came from. Buying is tough right now, renting is more reasonable. Groceries are stable, gas is excellent.

Socially, I have mixed feelings honestly. Good luck with whatever you decide..
