Worst things about Arden-Arcade nobody talks about
So, I'm a college student here and Rent is about $1,476/month for a decent place. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. TIA!

If you're remote, this place is great for cost of living. it was the best decision I ever made. Internet is average in most areas.

We moved here with our family and the quality of life is solid. Schools in Cedar Grove area are better than expected. Kids love it here.

Came here for weather and stayed because it's not perfect but it works for me. The school system is honestly challenging and I don't see that changing anytime soon.

I'm a sales manager and I've found there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. The community is solid and there's always something going on.

My experience has been mostly positive. I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. The only thing I'd watch out for is weather. Other than that, No regrets on my end..

Real talk - this place is not for everyone, and I think that's OK.
If you value traffic, you'll love it. The traffic is genuinely excellent and I've found it's improved dramatically in recent years. My neighborhood (Highland) is established and I feel safe walking around at night.
But if you're coming from Miami, be prepared for the culture shock. nightlife is completely different here. And Winters are long and cold.
My advice would be to visit for at least a week before committing. Rent first, don't buy. And explore multiple neighborhoods - they're all different.

Not gonna lie, the first year was rough. But once you find your neighborhood and your people, there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. Happy to answer more specific questions..
