Most overrated things about Ardmore

OK so Military spouse here. Average temperature is around 65--F, so the weather is moderate. Rent is about $959/month for a decent place. Property taxes are high but you get good services. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. Thanks in advance! People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look.

I'd say the biggest thing people don't talk about is nightlife. the quality of life is solid. Worth doing your research before committing.

Used to live on the Springfield side, now on the Downtown side. Completely different vibe. it exceeded my expectations.

I'd say the biggest thing people don't talk about is outdoor recreation. I'm still on the fence after all this time. Worth doing your research before committing.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem improving.

I've been here 10 years and it was the best decision I ever made. The thing nobody mentions is walkability. It's growing and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the walkability is legit. And if you're into mountain biking, this place is pretty good.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Maple Ridge side vs the East side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

Good luck with whatever you decide..
