Should I move to Ardmore or stay in Miami?

I'm a teacher here and It's a a small town city with about 24,757 people. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. Property taxes are high but you get good services. The weather takes some getting used to. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a project manager who relocated here from LA about 2 years ago. The main reasons were work and quality of life.

Pros I've experienced:
- Great outdoor activities nearby
- Nice parks and green spaces
- Good internet infrastructure

Cons that are real:
- Limited shopping options
- Bugs and humidity in summer

Financially, we've found it better than expected compared to where we came from. Lots of new construction which should help. Groceries are pricey, gas is surprisingly good.

Socially, it exceeded my expectations. Definitely worth checking out..

I've lived in Springfield for about 3 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

I'm still on the fence after all this time. When I first moved here from Austin, I was surprised by public transit. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Low crime in most neighborhoods
- Decent public transit for the size
- The walkability scene is pretty good

The downsides:
- Road conditions need improvement
- Limited shopping options

Overall I'd rate it 6/10 for remote workers. No regrets on my end..
