Hey folks, You can expect to pay around $1,680 for rent here. With a population of 14,165, Ardmore is a small town. Household incomes average around $115,273 in Ardmore. Homes are going for about $446,300 on average. The weather takes some getting used to. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. Does this match your experience? Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. Night life is decent if you know the right spots.

I've lived in Eastside for about 15 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.
I have mixed feelings honestly. When I first moved here from Seattle, I was surprised by traffic. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.
A few things worth knowing:
- Cost of living is very reasonable
- Lots of new development happening
- The school system scene is decent
The downsides:
- Rising rent and home prices
- Limited high-paying job options
Overall I'd rate it 9/10 for young professionals. Definitely worth checking out..

From a safety perspective, it really depends on the area. Some neighborhoods are solid, others not so much. Do your research on specific streets.

Real talk - this place is not for everyone, and I think that's OK.
If you value weather, you'll love it. The cost of living is genuinely hit or miss and I've found it's been a really good experience overall. My neighborhood (Oak Park) is stable and I feel safe walking around at night.
But if you're coming from Tampa, be prepared for the culture shock. dating scene is completely different here. And Limited public transit options.
My advice would be to visit for at least a week before committing. Rent first, don't buy. And explore multiple neighborhoods - they're all different.

If you value school system, you'll love it. The safety is genuinely average and I've found I love the pace of life here. My neighborhood (Lakewood) is developing and I feel safe walking around at night.
But if you're coming from Houston, be prepared for the culture shock. safety is completely different here. And Urban sprawl is real.

Bought a house here in 2020 and it's not perfect but it works for me. Property values have gone down slightly since then.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem average.
I've been here 9 years and I love the pace of life here. The thing nobody mentions is community vibe. It's growing and it affects daily life more than you'd think.
That said, the safety is legit. And if you're into hiking, this place is surprisingly good.
Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Westside side vs the South side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.
Your mileage may vary depending on what you're looking for..
