Anyone work in healthcare in Arecibo zona urbana?

I've been here for 6 years and Poverty rate is 40.2%, which is higher than I expected. Rent is about $494/month for a decent place. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. Anyone in a similar situation? Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. The city has invested a lot in new development.

Came here for a job opportunity and stayed because it's improved dramatically in recent years. The job market is honestly improving and I don't see that changing anytime soon.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem improving.

I've been here 14 years and it was the best decision I ever made. The thing nobody mentions is housing market. It's stable and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the food scene is legit. And if you're into mountain biking, this place is challenging.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The East side vs the Pine Hills side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

Your mileage may vary depending on what you're looking for..

Hot take but it exceeded my expectations. I know a lot of people disagree but after 13 years here, that's my honest assessment.
