Anyone else feel this way? My partner and I are The median home value here is around $110,900, which is actually reasonable. Household incomes average around $21,984 in Arecibo zona urbana. Rent is about $494/month for a decent place. Poverty rate is 40.2%, which is higher than I expected. The food scene here is surprisingly good. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. The suburbs are where most families end up. Would love some local perspective. TIA! It's not perfect, but the community is solid. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. Property taxes are high but you get good services.
