I'm single, late 40s, and Crime rate is something to consider -Arecibo zona urbana sits at 2,771.8 per 100K. You can expect to pay around $494 for rent here. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Worth the trade-offs?

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 2 years ago from Boston and here's my honest breakdown:
Housing: The market is competitive but not impossible. We're paying /mo for a 4-bed in Meadowbrook. It's better than expected for what you get.
Jobs: The market is stable right now, especially in construction. If you're in engineering you might struggle.
People: Generally improving. It took about 13 months to build a solid friend group.
Food: challenging. Tons of options if you like Mexican.
