What Arecibo zona urbana does better than anywhere else

Hi all, Just moved here 7 months ago and The median home value here is around $110,900, which is actually reasonable. Homes are going for about $110,900 on average. Household incomes average around $21,984 in Arecibo zona urbana. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. The city has invested a lot in new development. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. Am I wrong here? Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. The suburbs are where most families end up. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a teacher who relocated here from Miami about 1 years ago. The main reasons were retirement and a fresh start.

Pros I've experienced:
- Strong job market in several industries
- Good internet infrastructure
- Good airport with direct flights

Cons that are real:
- Nightlife is limited
- Bugs and humidity in summer

Financially, we've found it better than expected compared to where we came from. Lots of new construction which should help. Groceries are manageable, gas is excellent.

Socially, it's improved dramatically in recent years. Happy to answer more specific questions..
