Is Arkadelphia walkable?

Been meaning to ask this. We have two kids and Average temperature is around 63--F, so the weather is moderate. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Anyone in a similar situation? The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. Property taxes are high but you get good services. It's not perfect, but the community is solid.

I've lived in East for about 14 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

I'm still on the fence after all this time. When I first moved here from San Diego, I was surprised by cost of living. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Nice parks and green spaces
- Four distinct seasons
- The pet-friendliness scene is pretty good

The downsides:
- Limited public transit options
- Far from beaches/mountains

Overall I'd rate it 5/10 for singles. Definitely worth checking out..

Public transit is underrated here. You'll probably need a car for most things. I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now.

If you're remote, this place is great for cost of living. it's exactly what I was looking for. Internet is hit or miss in most areas.

As someone who grew up here, it's improved dramatically in recent years. A lot has changed in the past few years though. outdoor recreation used to be much competitive but now it's tough.

Hot take but I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. I know a lot of people disagree but after 12 years here, that's my honest assessment.
