I work in real estate here and it's not perfect but it works for me. The job market for my field is hit or miss. Give it a chance - it might surprise you..

Renting here right now, paying about /mo for a 4-bedroom. it's been a really good experience overall. Compared to Phoenix it's solid.

If you're remote, this place is great for cost of living. it's not perfect but it works for me. Internet is better than expected in most areas.

Not gonna lie, the first year was rough. But once you find your neighborhood and your people, it's not perfect but it works for me. It's not for everyone but it works for us..

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 2 years ago from Baltimore and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: It's gotten pricier but still beats the coasts. We're paying /mo for a 3-bed in South. It's decent for what you get.

Jobs: The market is growing right now, especially in tech. If you're in finance you might struggle.

People: Generally improving. It took about 9 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: pretty good. Tons of options if you like Southern.

It's not for everyone but it works for us..

We moved here with our family and there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. Schools in Cedar Grove area are excellent. Kids love it here.
