Arlington Heights is underrated, change my mind
Been meaning to ask this. Military spouse here. Median household income is $118,532, which feels pretty solid for the area. It's a a smaller city city with about 76,220 people. Rent is about $1,727/month for a decent place. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. Property taxes are high but you get good services. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Property taxes are high but you get good services.
