Arlington Heights quality of life -am I missing something?

OK so Military spouse here. Homes are going for about $86,600 on average. It's a a small town city with about 1,038 people. Median household income is $47,115, which feels on the lower side for the area. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. The weather takes some getting used to. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. The city has invested a lot in new development. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. The city has invested a lot in new development. The suburbs are where most families end up. Property taxes are high but you get good services.

From a safety perspective, it really depends on the area. Some neighborhoods are improving, others not so much. Do your research on specific streets.
