Hey folks, I'm a nurse at the local hospital and With a population of 395K, Arlington is a mid-size city. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. Cheers.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 8 years ago from Tampa and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: If you look outside the main areas you can find deals. We're paying /mo for a 1-bed in Westside. It's solid for what you get.

Jobs: The market is wild right now, especially in construction. If you're in real estate you might struggle.

People: Generally hit or miss. It took about 17 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: average. Tons of options if you like craft beer.
