Arlington housing prices — when will it stop?

Hi all, Military spouse here. Household incomes average around $140,160 in Arlington. With a population of 235K, Arlington is a mid-size city. Property taxes are high but you get good services. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. What would you do? The suburbs are where most families end up. The weather takes some getting used to.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 11 years ago from Dallas and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: Buying is tough right now, renting is more reasonable. We're paying /mo for a 3-bed in Maple Ridge. It's decent for what you get.

Jobs: The market is competitive right now, especially in construction. If you're in tech you might struggle.

People: Generally underrated. It took about 17 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: decent. Tons of options if you like Vietnamese.

Feel free to reach out with questions..
